About Hard Magnets
Hard magnets are made from SrO or BaO and Fe2O3 by ceramic processing technology and are the cheapest and lowest cost/energy ratio magnetic materials.
The high crystal anisotropy of strontium-iron oxides gives them good coercivity. However, isotropic parts can also be produced where easy-to-use multipole magnetization is required.
Product shapes include magnetic rings, magnetic poles, and magnetic tiles.
This is a low-cost alternative to other magnetic materials, with relatively high operating temperatures and good corrosion and demagnetization resistance.
However, it has a low energy level (Br) and is brittle.
It is mainly used in various motors, especially automotive motors, motorbike starter motors, home gym equipment, and electric toys.
