Rubber Coated Neodymium Magnets

The basic structure of a rubber-coated magnet consists of a ferromagnetic steel plate, a neodymium magnet, and a protective rubber housing. Rubber-coated magnets function similarly to pot magnets as magnetic retention assemblies and stand out by providing enhanced surface protection, better corrosion and impact resistance, and greater friction, which derive directly from their rubber casing. 

However, the presence of this rubber casing results in a different magnetic circuit within the rubber-coated magnet than the pot magnet.
