Neodymium permanent magnet material

NdFeB permanent magnet material is called "Magnetic King". It was discovered in 1983 and industrialized in Japan, China, Europe and the United States at the same time in 1985. It has been 35 years since then. Over the past 35 years, the global NdFeB permanent magnet material industry has flourished. Its magnetic properties continue to set new records, the variety and grade of materials continue to increase, the industrial technology innovation is changing with each passing day, and the material output is growing rapidly.

NdFeB permanent magnets are tetragonal crystals composed of neodymium, iron and boron. According to different production processes, it can be divided into three types: sintered NdFeB, bonded NdFeB and hot-pressed NdFeB. Due to different production processes, they have great differences in product magnetic properties, post-processing and applications.

Sintered Neodymium Magnets

Sintered NdFeB is the largest and most widely used product in the NdFeB family. It is produced by powder metallurgy, and is divided into N, M, H, SH, UH, EH, TH, etc. according to the different coercive force of the product. series. Commercially produced sintered NdFeB has a remanence of up to 1.45T and an intrinsic coercivity of up to 2786kA/m. The operating temperature is between 80° and 200°, depending on the coercivity. Sintered NdFeB is easy to be oxidized and corroded and needs surface treatment. According to the different requirements of the use environment, surface treatment methods such as phosphating, electroplating, chemical plating, electrophoresis, and vapor deposition can be used. Common coatings are zinc, nickel, nickel copper nickel, epoxy resin, etc.
