As the main raw material of AlNiCo magnets is iron, which is very cheap, and its resource storage capacity is relatively large, its price is also far lower than that of samarium cobalt magnets. Al Ni Co magnets have better mechanical properties and are easier to cut, drill and process complex shapes. The disadvantage of AlNiCo magnet is its poor temperature performance and high temperature magnetic loss, so it needs to work at low temperature. The temperature is generally about 80 ℃. Specially treated magnets can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius. Since the material contains large amounts of neodymium and iron, corrosion is also its weakness. Therefore, AlNiCo magnets must be coated. It can be plated with nickel (nickel), zinc (zinc), gold (gold), chromium (chromium), epoxy resin (epoxy resin), etc.
AlNiCo magnets are widely used in industry, aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, instrumentation, medical and other fields.
