Application range of NdFeB magnets

Feb 22, 2023

Application range of NdFeB magnets
Electroacoustic field: speaker, receiver, microphone, alarm, stage audio, car audio, etc.
Electronic and electrical appliances: permanent magnet vacuum circuit breaker, magnetic holding relay, watt-hour meter, water meter, sound meter, reed switch, sensor, etc.
Motor field: VCM, CDDVD-ROM, generator, motor, servo motor, micro motor, motor, vibration motor, etc
Mechanical equipment: magnetic separator, magnetic separator, magnetic crane, magnetic machinery, etc.
Medical treatment: magnetic resonance instrument, medical equipment, magnetic therapy health care products, magnetized fuel economizer, etc.
Other industries: magnetic anti-wax device, pipe descaler, magnetic clamp, automatic mahjong machine, magnetic lock, door and window magnet, stationery magnet, bag magnet, leather magnet, toy magnet, tool magnet, craft gift packaging, etc.
The third generation of rare earth permanent magnet NdFeB is the most powerful permanent magnet in contemporary magnets. Its BHmax value is 5-12 times that of ferrite magnet and 3-10 times that of Al-Ni-Co magnet; Its coercivity is 5-10 times that of ferrite magnets and 5 times and 15 times that of Al-Ni-Co magnets. Its potential magnetic properties are extremely high and can absorb 640 times of its own weight.
Because iron, the main raw material of NdFeB magnets, is very cheap and the storage capacity of rare earth neodymium is 10-16 times that of samarium, its price is far lower than that of samarium cobalt magnets.
The mechanical properties of NdFeB magnets are superior to SmCo and Al-Ni-Co magnets, making it easier to cut, drill and process complex shapes.
The disadvantages of NdFeB magnets are poor temperature performance, high magnetic loss at high temperature and low maximum working temperature. It is generally around 80 ℃, and the maximum working temperature of the specially treated magnet can reach 200 ℃.
Because the material contains a large amount of neodymium and iron, this is also a major weakness of its corrosion. Therefore, the surface of NdFeB magnets must be coated. Electroplated nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), gold (Au), chromium (Cr), epoxy resin (Epoxy), etc.
NdFeB magnets are widely used in aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, instrumentation, medical and other fields. Moreover, non-technical fields are more and more widely used, such as magnets, toys, jewelry, etc.
Production process: batching -->melting -->milling -->forming -->sintering -->testing -->machining -->electroplating -->magnetization -->inspection -->packaging
