Samarium Cobalt Block Magnets
SmCo permanent magnets are a superior permanent magnetic material with high magnetic properties as well as strong corrosion resistance, oxygenation resistance, low temperature coefficient, high Curie temperature, and the ability to be used in higher ambient temperatures. Description
Samarium cobalt permanent magnet, as the second generation of rare earth permanent magnet, mainly consists of metal samarium (Sm), metal cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), zirconium (Zr) and other elements, and can be divided into two types, 1:5 type, and 2:17 type, in terms of structure type. In terms of performance characteristics, it can be divided into three kinds of samarium cobalt: high magnetic energy product, low-temperature coefficient (-0.008%/°C: 20-200°C) samarium cobalt, and high-temperature resistance (500°C) samarium cobalt. Because of its high magnetic properties, good temperature stability, and corrosion resistance, samarium cobalt is widely used in the automotive industry, energy-saving electrical appliances, communications, and other fields.

High Magnetic Properties
Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) 2:17 permanent magnets have both high remanent magnetism and high coercive force, with excellent overall magnetic properties, and are widely used in the fields of rail transport, automotive industry, aerospace and so on. At present, its maximum magnetic energy product can reach up to 35MGOe.

Excellent Temperature Characteristics
Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) permanent magnets of type 2:17 have high Curie temperature (>800°C), high temperature stability (αBr≈-0.035%/°C) and high service temperature (up to 550°C). Compared to neodymium magnets, they can operate above 200°C without the addition of heavy rare earths. The maximum magnetic energy product of Sm2Co17-33H material already exceeds that of N42EH when the operating temperature exceeds 180°C. Ultra-high stability permanent magnetic materials (αBr≈0%/°C) can be obtained by doping with heavy rare earth elements. It is now widely used in microwave communications, precision instruments, high-temperature motors and other key fields.

Excellent corrosion resistance
2:17 type samarium cobalt permanent magnets have excellent corrosion resistance and can work in corrosive environment for a long time, which is widely used in electric power and water conservancy, petrochemical, biomedical and other fields.
